Chris Hargreaves began riding motorcycles at just six years of age, growing up in the small North East Tasmanian community of Pyengana. His passion for riding quickly developed into a competitive career, becoming a Tasmanian Motocross Champion before progressing into enduro and desert racing.

Over the years, Chris has competed professionally and ridden some of Australia’s toughest events, including the legendary Finke Desert Race and Hattah Desert Race. His competitive riding career continued through to the age of 32, building an incredible depth of riding knowledge and experience across a wide range of terrain and conditions.

What truly sets Chris apart is his intimate knowledge of Tasmania’s trail network. Decades spent riding, exploring and cutting tracks throughout Tasmania’s forests, mountains, wilderness areas and remote coastal regions have created a catalogue of riding experiences that few people know exist.

As a qualified motor mechanic by trade, Chris also brings invaluable technical expertise to every tour.
